Pinky Keijser and Lennart Vader started working together under the name NEPCO as designers and performers in the early 90s in Amsterdams world famous club RoXY. They make art installations, theater decor, costumes, illustrations and short movies. Working with different media, they developed an unique and very recognisable style. In a colorfull and surreal world, nature and objects playfully comment on human behaviour. This world is mostly created with hyper realistic inflatable landscapes. Landscapes as the setting for performances, featuring their self designed costumes. Some of their performances have names like: Erotic ballet with ear and q-tip and Synchronized swimming amoebas. In recent years Lennart & Pinky have been developing characters for several big international ad campaigns, although commercial work, they always keep close to their own style. Their latest project is the design of an interactive inflatable theme park to educate children about the environmental problems of the Black Sea. |
